Path to Family Fun at Navy Pier

Posted on April 2nd, 2012

There’s so much going on at Navy Pier on a given day, so we’re going to help you break it down. The forever-dilemma of the parent: what to do that’s fun for the whole family?

There are lots of choices for the kids, but when we say whole family, we really mean it. So, pile the family into the car and head to Navy Pier. Here’s why:

Spring at Build-A-Bear Workshop

Check out the new additions at Build-A-Bear Workshop, released in March. Choose your favorite, a “Watercolor Bunny” or “Sunny Chick.” Plus, with any purchase over $20, receive a free Easter egg decorating kit!

Circus Zirkus at The Chicago Children’s Museum

The Chicago Children’s Museum presentsCircus Zirkus: Where You’re the Star of the Show,” an extremely interactive exhibit where the kids are a part of the circus, showing through Aug. 12. In a nod to the power of imaginative play, children are provided with electric-colored costumes; silly circus props; a make-believe concession stand; and a flying trapeze. Your kids won’t be mere spectators—they’ll be part of the show!

Born to be Wild” in 3D at Navy Pier IMAX

At Navy Pier IMAX, everyone will enjoy the award-winning “Born to be Wild” in 3D. Voted Best Film for Lifetime Learning, this tale of human and animal bonding is educational and inspiring. Save your ticket stubs and bring them to Riva for 20% off your food after the show.

Riva Crab House

Through April 6, Riva Crab House Chef Luigi Garcia’s ‘fresh sheet’ will include meatless options for Lent. And, don’t forget everyday from 11-5 we’ve got $1 oysters until April 15!
