Reviewers Going Mad for MAD Social Brunch

In the past few years the restaurant business has seen a huge increase in the amount of weekend brunch traffic. It makes sense. If you like sleeping in and relaxing on the weekend, brunch is the perfect meal option.

Brunch also lets restaurants stretch their wings when it comes to creating unique menu items that strike the prefect balance between breakfast and lunch.

At Phil Stefani’s Signature Restaurants’ MAD Social location in the West Loop, we take our brunch service pretty seriously. And it shows, as we’ve recently been featured in two more prominent publications that have touted our incredible brunch. These kudos come on the heals of our 2016 ranking as one of Chicago’s best brunch spots.

Popular foodie blog Bitches Who Brunch visited MAD Social in March and raved about our Short Rib Benedict which is braised Korean style short ribs, on toasted pretzel buns, with brussels sprouts kimchi, topped with togarashi hollandaise and served with house potatoes.

“It was packed with flavor and all of the components worked really well together,” the blog post said.

Another of the diners ordered our now famous Chicken and Waffles. Created with a churro waffle, chicken breast milanese, MAD hot sauce, crisp pork belly, maple syrup, the reviewer called the dish “fantastic” and the MAD hot sauce “awesome.”

Thrillist Chicago also recently featured MAD Social in their guide to Best Brunches in Chicago. According to Thrillist, “MAD Social’s pancakes might just be the best in Chicago, and you really aren’t going to want to miss out on these airy, salted caramel whipped butter-topped babies.”
