BON APPÉTIT TO SERVE AS TITLE SPONSOR OF CHICAGO GOURMET 2010

(CHICAGO; May 20, 2010) – Chicago Gourmet, one of the nation’s most anticipated culinary events celebrating the City of Chicago’s finest in food and wine, is pleased to announce Bon Appétit magazine as its title sponsor. Chicago Gourmet, presented by the Illinois Restaurant Association, will be held in Millennium Park on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26, showcasing over 100 of Chicago’s finest restaurants and chefs, as well as hundreds of renowned vintners, spirit makers and premium breweries from around the world.

Chicago Restaurant Week 2010, produced by the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau (CCTB), kicks off February 19. The event features more than 160 member restaurants offering three-course, prix-fixe lunches and dinners for $22 and $32, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. The program has been extended from seven days to 10 days running through February 28.  Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush, Riva Navy Pier, and Tuscany on Taylor are all participating.

Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush is re-introducing its lunch menu.   The re-vamped menu is filled to the brim with your favorite classic dishes, and a few new ones…the prices have been lowered to boot!

In some restaurants, preparation of lunch can be treated with less care.  The prep-work might be rushed, and corners might be cut, but not at Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush.  Chef Federico Comacchio explains, ”If you look at our lunch menu I think you will be surprised at the amount of dishes to choose from, and the prices we have set.  We want lunch to be just as good as dinner.”

A few of the New items added to Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush lunch menu include : The Garbage salad (House greens with cured meat, cheese and crispy chopped vegetables tossed with our house dressing), The Claudio Salad (A Medley of Garden Vegetables, cured meats, Swiss & Parmigiano cheese, Crackers bread all tossed with a tangy creamy house dressing), Cibattina and Chicken Milanese (Toasted Ciabatta bread, light breaded chicken breast, organic arugula, sliced tomato and Aioli), and Focaccina Alla Porchetta e Provolone (Toasted house Focaccia with thin sliced Porchetta, Sweet Provolone, bib lettuce and Gaeta Olives Mayo).
