Summer Solstice + First Day of Summer Specials: June 20 & June 21

Posted on May 31st, 2012

As a major celestial event, the Summer Solstice results in the longest day and the shortest night of the year! This year the summer solstice falls just one day before the official start of summer.  To celebrate these annual events we’re offering some fun drink specials at our Navy Pier locations:

AVAILABLE JUNE 20 + JUNE 21

Riva Crab House & Riva Cafe:

$6 Sauza Margarita

LandShark Beer Garden:

$3 glasses of Barefoot Wine (Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir or Moscato)

$4 Two Brother’s Dog Days Beer

Chango Loco:

$5 Frozen Lemonade

Fun facts: Sol + stice derives from a combination of Latin words meaning “sun” + “to stand still.” As the days lengthen, the sun rises higher and higher until it seems to stand still in the sky.
