Stefani’s Tuscany Cafe invites Chicagoans to enjoy The Skies of Chicago, a showcase featuring the photography of Nick Ulivieri, on Thursday, September 20 beginning at 5:30 PM. Guests can mix and mingle with photographer Nick Ulivieri, who will have all display pieces available for sale. Featured photographs include iconic Chicago views, landscapes, and extreme weather. Tuscany Cafe will be serving complimentary hors d’oeuvres and Prosecco for the first hour of the showcase. Drink specials will include $5 Martinis and $4 glasses of House Wine.
Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to be entered to win an original, framed photograph of Nick’s art that features a colored pencil drawing of the Chicago Blackhawks’ famous feathers. As a way to honor National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, all proceeds from this raffle will be donated to Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, a national organization dedicated to eliminating pediatric cancer and to providing hope and support to those who are touched by it. Ulivieri, who has volunteered his time by photographing Bear Hugs for the participating families says, “Giving back to the local community through my passion for photography is part of what makes this career so rewarding. The Bear Hugs Program has been an amazing experience for me, both personally and professionally.”

In 2009 at the age of 25, Nick Ulivieri found a medium for his creativity that he truly loved – photography. Ulivieri originally studied marketing at Bradley University and worked in the advertising industry for a handful of years where he developed a deep interest for the impact branding and design could have on a business. Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated “to eliminating pediatric cancer and to providing hope and support to those who are touched by it.” This mission is carried out through three critical programs. The organization’s Bear Hugs Program supports cancer patients (ages 0 –19), as well as their immediate families, that face the many challenges that accompany the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer. Our outreach serves both in state and out of state children that are being treated at one of the nine major Chicago area hospitals with pediatric oncology departments. A Bear Hug is a customized experience that brightens the life of a child going through cancer. The Bear Hugs Program also provides immediate family support for financial burden and essential needs.
