Get ready to kick of the holiday season in Chicago this Saturday, November 23rd! The city will gather for the annual BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. And after the parade, bring the entire family to Navy Pier to watch Santa light the Pier!
5:30PM – 7:00PM: Here they come! The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile tree-lighting parade steps onto Michigan Avenue at Oak Street. Watch Mickey, Minnie and their friends, from the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, travel down Michigan Avenue to Wacker Drive, lighting one million lights along the way!
6:55PM: Fireworks spectacular over the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue.
8:00PM: Santa’s magical arrival and light show spectacle at Navy Pier!
After you watch Santa light up Navy Pier, be sure to warm up inside with Riva Crab House’s holiday cocktails! Featured holiday cocktails include the Holiday Hopper Martini or Poinsettia Champagne Cocktail. Enjoy your favorite dishes and join us for an evening of festive fun!
A holiday poem, for your delight…….
T’was the Saturday before Thanksgiving and all through the streets, families flocked to the city, for the annual festive treat.
Navy Pier was decorated to everyone’s delight, even Saint Nick, made an appearance that night.
The children were dazzled by the lights galore, while parents rejoiced and wanted to see more.
Bundled up tight, in their new winter coats, they stood on the pier watching incoming boats.
Then from out of nowhere came a grumbly noise, “It’s time to eat!” said one of the boys.
They headed straight to RIVA for delicious drinks and food, “This is all so amazing! It doesn’t stop at just good.”
Leaving with full bellies and a smile so wide, they saw something flying from the corner of their eye.
It was only a second and gone so quick, but it was a cherished family memory of Old St. Nick.
