One of Navy Pier’s most spectacular annual events returns July 27-31, 2016. The Pepsi Tall Ships Festival will bring 13 of the most incredible vessels to the Pier for five days.
The festival starts on Lake Michigan at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, with the Parade of Sail. The parade starts at Chicago’s Adler Planetarium and will make its way past Navy Pier at about 3:30 p.m.
Starting on Thursday, July 28, ticketed guests will begin to view, board and sail on the participating ships right at Navy Pier. Tickets for the 2016 Pepsi Tall Ships start at $10 for a single day general admission. Dockside boarding tickets start at $15 and dockside board tickets for the weekend start at $25. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
As usual, Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants locations on Navy Pier will offer the best dining options during the Tall Ships Festival.
To get the full ship-faring experience, head to Chicago’s only waterfront seafood restaurant — Riva Crab House. Enjoy incredible views of Lake Michigan, the ships docked at the pier and the Chicago skyline while dining on our menu of premium seafood, prime steaks and daily specials, as well as our extensive wine selections. For a more casual outdoor setting, dine outdoors at Riva Cafe, which offers scaled down dishes and some of the great items from Riva Crab House.

The Beer Garden serves a variety of beers, cocktails and frozen drinks along with a selection of burgers, brats and pizza. Enjoy a full schedule of live music at the Beer Garden during the Tall Ships Festival.
Located next to the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier, diners can find a Mexican cantina experience at Chango Loco. Eat on a budget and enjoy favorites, including nachos, tacos and carne asada. Chango Loco also offers a variety of specialty drinks like the pink senora and the Sauza Cosmopolitan. Margaritas, daiquiris and several beers are also served.
