MAD Social Named One of Chicago’s Best Brunch Spots

When Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants opened our first restaurant in 14 years, MAD Social, it was our hope that it would quickly become a staple in Chicago’s West Loop.

Under the guidance of Phil’s daughter, Gina, Executive Chef Mariela Bolaños has created a globally inspired menu with a New American twist that offers something for everyone. The reaction from everyone from neighborhood residents to diners from across the city has been amazing.

MAD Social also has received critical acclaim from a wide variety of print and online publications. According to Chicago Redeye, MAD Social “serves drool-worthy food in a downright comfy space,” calling Chef Mariela’s creations “mad genius.”

The restaurant’s latest accolade came from online food blog Chicago Eater, which named MAD Social as one of Chicago’s best brunch spots. Specifically, the Eater highlighted our short rib benedict, salmon gravlax, and shakshouka.

In addition to a selection of our regular menu items, MAD Social offers the following brunch menu:

SHORT RIB BENEDICT

braised Korean style short ribs, toasted pretzel buns, brussel sprouts kimchi, togarashi hollandaise, house potatoes

MONTE CRISTO

deep fried, mortadella, smoked bacon, chihuahua cheese, mixed greens, brioche, house potatoes

SALMON GRAVLAX

house made cured salmon, charred scallion cream cheese, avocado, sour dough, poached egg, balsamic, micro greens

MAD SHAKSHOUKA

oven baked eggs, sun dried tomato sauce, roasted potatoes, spinach, peppers, mushrooms, toast points, fresh herbs, grana

OMELETTE

3 eggs/choose three ingredients: tomato, spinach, mushroom, onion, havarti cheese, cheddar cheese, peppers, bacon, sausage. Served with house potatoes and choice of toast

2 EGGS

any style with house potatoes, choice of toast., choice of bacon,sausage or fruit

STEAK & EGGS

grilled skirt steak, 2 eggs sunny side up, sweet pepper succotash, chimichurri, choice of toast

PANCAKES

buttermilk pancakes, salted caramel whipped butter, fresh berries, maple syrup

SIDES

pork sausage patties, smoked bacon, fresh fruit, house salad, parfait, toast & jelly, house potatoes, bagel & cream cheese
